Frances Walker, Local Health Officer and ACA Navigator

The Local Health Officer (LHO) has the duty to investigate and mitigate any potential or existing public health risks in the town of Freedom. She works with the Code Enforcement Officer, Plumbing Inspector, Fire Department, Animal Control Officer, Emergency Management Director, and State of Maine Agencies in the event of potential or actual threats to the health and safety of any individual or individuals in our community.

Walker is also a
Navigators for the Affordable Health Care Act in Waldo County. Navigators can assist people seeking to get Health Insurance through the Maine Health Insurance Marketplace. They can help you access programs that could lower your monthly premiums and out-of-pocket costs. Navigators provide fair and unbiased advice. They are not affiliated with any insurance company and will never share your private information with anyone. This service is FREE.
